Roots of pacha alpha4/3/2023 ![]() While this game will certainly appeal to that same young audience, it looks like it will also appeal more to adults like me who have been looking for a horse game that isn’t oversimplified and flat. It seems like most horse games these days either focus on racing or betting, or the horse care aspects of the game are light/juvenile and intended for a very young audience. Originally slated for a Q2 2022 release, Roots of Pacha has been pushed to late 2022.įrom the developer of Alchemy Story, Lemon Cake, and Bunny Park comes a game I’ve been waiting for since I played Barbie Horse Adventures. The developers have been great about getting out monthly development updates and they have an extremely active discord. You’ll also get to create pottery and art, get in touch with your spiritual side, and celebrate in festivals. With the stone age setting comes an emphasis on discovery and cultivation of crops, domestication of animals, learning how to process and preserve food, and begin to metalwork. Though I don’t normally care too much for multiplayer, I’m moving in with my partner this year, and I’ve started looking out for more co-op games, and I’m excited to play a game in one of my favorite genres with them. The stone age setting and multiplayer mode set this game up to be a unique take on the farming sim. It’s being developed with multiplayer in mind, and not just as single player with multiplayer tacked on. Roots of Pacha is an upcoming farming sim set in the stone age, and is one of a few games on this list that I backed on Kickstarter. So here is my list of indie games, which may or may not release in 2022, that I’m most looking forward to (did I just do clickbait?.nah). ![]() Besides, this is 10 games I’m looking forward to, not 10 games definitely releasing in 2022. Should I nix the ‘2022’ bit? No, I had to capitalize on the whole new year thing (ignore the fact that it’s February). Besides, I already had all these games in mind and it’s my personal list. I had all these games in mind, but when I went to look up release dates, I realized things had been pushed back or didn’t have clear release dates, and I thought, ‘oh what do I do now.’ Should I look for games with definite 2022 release dates? No, definite release dates aren’t a real thing in the indie game development world (and there’s nothing wrong with that). Okay so this post was a little more difficult to compose than I thought it was gonna be. ![]()
